Jeep Cherokee - Economic 2.0L 2.2L MULTIJET II TURBO DIESEL ENGINE The new 2.2 litre engine offers outstanding fuel consumption and performance.
It produces 200hp at 3500Rpm and delivers 440Nm torque at 2500Rpm, making it one
of the best-performing four-cylinder turbo-diesels on the market. The 200hp version is
available with Jeep® Active Drive I and Jeep® Active Drive II.
A 185hp version, complete with 4x4 Jeep® Active Drive I is also available.
Both the 185 hp and 200hp versions come with the first in class* 9-speed
automatic transmission and Start&Stop system.
The consumption and emissions for the 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine, on the
approved combined cycle are 49.6 MPG (5.7L/100km)and 150g/km respectively.

2.0L MULTIJET II TURBO DIESEL ENGINE The efficient 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine equipped on the Jeep® Cherokee
features second generation, Multijet technology, a four valves per cylinder and double
overhead camshaft (DOHC) belt driven engine. Fitted with 1600-bar common-rail fuel
injection system, solenoid fuel injectors and variable geometry turbocharger (VGT),
it produces maximum power of 140 hp at 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm.
All this, together with an outstanding 53.3mpg return on combined cycle, CO2 from
only 139g/km and a BIK rate of only 23%, makes the Cherokee a great vehicle for
company car drivers and private buyers alike. Stop&Start technology also improves
fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions.

3.2L PENTASTAR® V6 PETROL ENGINE The new 3.2-litre Pentastar V-6 is the first derivative of the renowned 3.6-litre
Pentastar V-6, and benefits from the same innovations that earned its predecessor
industry–wide praise for efficiency, power and refinement. This contributes to a
refined driving experience with reduced values of noise, vibrations and harshness (NVH)
and an outstanding balance of higher specific power output (85 horsepower per litre).
All while delivering fuel economy improvements of 30-percent versus the outgoing V-6 engine.

Jeep® Active Drive I 4x4 system
Jeep® Active Drive I features a single power transfer
unit (PTU) which is fully automatic and delivers
seamless operation in and out of four-wheel drive,
at any speed. The system does not require any driver
intervention or feedback, and is ideal for those who want
an SUV with an all-weather-capable 4x4 system that's easy to use.
While the rear axle disconnect feature only engages the 4x4
system when necessary for improved fuel efficiency.
It also offers balanced torque distribution with brake traction control.
So how is it done? Possessing true Jeep® DNA, the outstanding
four-wheel-drive performance results from a fully variable wet clutch
housed in the rear drive module. The clutch supplies the right
amount of torque for any driving condition, including slippery conditions, aggressive starts and dynamic driving.
Sophisticated algorithms enable the system to contribute to the
driving dynamics while interacting with the electronic
stability control (ESC) system when approaching the traction
limits of the road surface.

for extra low-speed traction. It also has Hill- descent Control
for additional piece of mind on tricky winter hillsides.

Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 system
The Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 system is standard equipment
on the Cherokee Trailhawk®. It has all the features of the
Jeep® Active Drive II 4x4 system, but also includes a rear lock and is
Trail Rated®. A remarkable crawl ratio allows a more
controlled throttle response when driving off-road.
The Selec-Terrain™ traction management system includes: Auto,
Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud and Rock modes for all-weather
and off-road capability.
The system also adds the advanced Selec-Speed control in
off-road mode, which provides additional control.

Did you know that all the 4x4 systems of the Jeep® Cherokee
feature Jeep® brand’s renowned Selec-Terrain™ traction control
system with four modes (five for the Trailhawk* model, which
adds the Rock mode to Auto, Snow, Sport and Sand/Mud).
With the push of a button, Selec-Terrain allows the driver to
choose the on and off-road setting best suited for optimum
performance on any particular surface, and is designed to
optimise the four-wheel-drive systems for unsurpassed control
and capability. Selec-Terrain electronically coordinates and
optimizes up to 12 systems on any terrain, providing enhanced
vehicle control, including: drivetrain control module,
electronic brake controller, ESC, transmission controller,
powertrain controller and Selec-Speed Control
(Hill-ascent and Hill-descent Control).

2015 sees the UK market introduction of the first ‘Trail-Rated’
Jeep® Cherokee, the Trailhawk®. This superlative off-road
specialist vehicle is powered by a 3.2 V6 petrol engine that
delivers 268 bhp and includes a low range gear box and Selec-Terrain
with Rock mode. It also features Selec-Speed Control,
which allows the driver to confidently drive up or down hills
at controlled, steady speeds.

Trailhawk® has the off-road proficient Jeep® Active Drive Lock
4x4 system, with a rear lock which keeps both tyres spinning at the same speed
allowing for enhanced traction in any terrain, particularly beneficial for
rock-crawling. And with Nappa leather as standard and technology like the 7” TFT screen,
8.4” Colour Touchscreen and remote USB port also as standard, it's an extremely well
specified vehicle. Aslo as standard, the off-road Jeep® rack kit assists with off road
leisure and a full size spare wheel provides peace of mind.

REAR LOCK Jeep Cherokee Rear Wheels Locker –Low Range Terrain Mode With the push of a button, Trailhawk® can electronically lock both rear wheels together for outstanding traction at lower speeds. The locking rear differential is selectable in any low range terrain mode, but will lock automatically when driving in certain modes to maximise tractive effort at the tyre patch that can support it.

REAR AXLE DISCONNECT

The Jeep® Cherokee was also the first mid-size SUV to feature rear-axle disconnect, resulting in reduced energy loss when 4x4 capability isn’t needed and improved fuel efficiency. The rear-axle disconnect seamlessly switches between two and four-wheel drive for full-time torque management with no input required from the driver. Alternatively, the four wheel drive can be engaged with a turn of the Selec-Terrain™ dial.
