The most powerful Jeep® vehicle ever, runs from 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds — with a top speed of 159mph — and brakes from 62-0 mph in 35 metres, providing outstanding driving performance in all conditions. An active intake manifold and high-lift camshaft with cam phasing delivers maximum low-end torque while optimizing high-end power across a wider and improved rpm band. 90 percent of peak torque is available between 2,800 and 6,000 rpm, for improved straight-line performance.

The Electronic Limited Slip Differential gives drivers more control on the road by improving handling and eliminating rear wheel slip. Revised gearing gives a more direct feel and on-center response, while new split five-spoke 20-inch forged-alloy wheels, ride on high-performance P295/45Z R20 Pirelli® P Zero® three-season run-flat tyres.

Our engineers have improved handling even further. The SRT® features a new SRT®-tuned adaptive damping suspension managed by the new Jeep® Selec-Trac® system that interacts with multiple systems, including stability control, adaptive damping, transmission shift strategy, Electronic Limited Slip Differential performance, throttle control and cylinder deactivation.

BRAKE-THROUGH PERFORMANCE

The Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT® comes from a line known for world-class, outstanding braking. Stopping power for the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT® comes courtesy of new SRT® high-performance Brembo brakes and a four-wheel antilock brake system. The Brembo system boasts red-painted 6 piston (front) and 4 piston (rear) calipers mounted on vented discs.

HEAD-TURNING RACING STYLE

Drive in style, in the new SRT®-styled Nappa leather and suede seats, with sculpted bolsters and adjustable headrests, providing all the comfort needed for daily drivers, and “grip” to keep the driver and passengers in place during more spirited excursions. Carbon fibre accents are integrated into the instrument and door trim panels, and new bright, racing style brake and accelerator pedal pads add to the high-performance look inside the cabin. The embroidered SRT logos and contrast stitching accent the two front seats.

STYLE WITH FUNCTION

The refined, luxurious interior takes on a performance feel in SRT® form with an all-new, leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel with a unique rim section and flattened bottom surface – evoking a race-inspired cockpit showcasing the SRT logo. Standard paddle-shift controls flank both sides of the new contoured palm rests. Vehicle Electronic Information Centre controls are located on the horizontal spokes on the steering wheel.

    The functional performance exterior features SRT®-exclusive body-colour wheel arches and side sill cladding. The integrated lower front grille is painted in gloss Black and a newly designed underbody belly pan features integrated brake ducting to improve cooling and fade performance. Completing the new front end is a newly sculpted hood with functional dual Black heat extractors for added engine cooling.
