Standing at 3,340 metres, strewn with volcanic terrain and in an almost constant state of activity, Mount Etna provided the perfect setting and challenge for testing our latest product range.
Inspired by America's legendary Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep Experience Days were set up to take the mantra of 'you don't drive it, you live it' back across the pond to Europe. To embrace Jeep's legendary capabilities, we introduced it to its natural habitat: mud, rock, water and tarmac.
In two days, 33 Jeep vehicles traversed a landscape of billowing volcanoes, Amazon- worthy rivers and roads coursing on top of plunging hillsides With 300 vents, Mount Etna provided dramatic scenery to the caravan of Jeep vehicles coursing along the dirt tracks. Vehicles were put to the test with some extreme off-roacling in the Irminio Valley Nature Reserve Our convoy came face to face with mud and rock, connected only by vast, flowing streams, where the Selec-Terrain traction control system really proved its worth.
Jeep passed with flying colours and is now the first motoring brand to have conquered Mount Etna, showing its stamina among the wild Italian terrain.
