31 OCT 2016: CELEBRATING NEW HEIGHTS

JEEP® MARKS 75 YEARS WITH THE WORLD’S FIRST POP-UP DEALERSHIP ONLY A 4X4 CAN REACH

Jeep® is the ultimate ‘go anywhere, do anything’ vehicle. So what better way to mark the brand’s 75th anniversary than to demonstrate just that? Cue the world’s first pop up dealership, one so remote it’s only accessible by 4x4.

The 75th Anniversary edition of Grand Cherokee had the easy task of towing the specially made three-and-a-half tonne ‘dealership’ into place. The place? The edge of a high cliff, overlooking the North Sea – at Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors National Park.

Once installed, this one-of-a-kind dealership opened for 5 days, between 11th- 15th October. The showroom featured the entire 75th Anniversary Jeep range – including Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wrangler and Renegade. Even the iconic Willys Jeep from the 1940s was also on display.

Three of the open days included a high-profile media event. Journalists were given the chance to experience Jeep’s off-road capabilities for themselves, with a four-hour driving adventure.

Despite its remote location, the dealership still managed to attract visitors. Passing walkers, trekkers and ramblers were eagerly welcomed inside to discover more about Jeep’s impressive 4x4 capabilities. Luckily, if you’ve got an equally curious mind and an adventurous spirit, you only have to click the link below.
