Find out more benefits of going electric below.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR ELECTRIC JEEP® DRIVERS?

The knowledge that your car is producing less CO2 isn’t the only benefit of having an electric car, there’s also plenty of cost and performance benefits, take a look at some of the best:

WHAT IS TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP?

Buying a Jeep® is more than just an investment in adventure, it's a long-term decision that goes beyond the initial purchase price. That’s why it’s important to consider the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This includes the price of your vehicle, running costs like fuel or charging, maintenance, servicing, and vehicle tax.

When comparing powertrains, upfront costs can be misleading. While electric vehicles may have a higher initial price, their lower running costs often make them more cost-effective over time. Charging is typically cheaper than refuelling, and EVs generally require less maintenance. That means with an electrified Jeep®, you get the best of both worlds; legendary capability and long-term savings.

Key factors that contribute to TCO include:

Energy or fuel costs* – EV charging can be significantly cheaper than fuel. For example, using the average petrol and electric costs for the UK (as of 13th March 2025) the Jeep® Avenger Petrol costs £12.63 per 100 miles to run, in comparison the Jeep® Avenger Full Electric costs nearly half as much at £6.74 over the same distance.
Vehicle tax – Our Jeep® Avenger Full Electric costs £10 in road tax for the first year if registered between 01/04/25 and 01/04/26. In comparison the vehicle tax on the Jeep® Avenger Petrol will be £440 for the first year if registered after April 1st 2025 (as of 13th March 2025).
Servicing & maintenance – Fewer mechanical parts in electric vehicles mean lower upkeep costs.
Finance payments - Although monthly agreements for a petrol vehicle can be more affordable than electric vehicles, electric vehicles can benefit from savings through tax, servicing and charging.

Whether you choose a rugged petrol model or embrace the electrified future of Jeep®, understanding TCO helps ensure you make the right decision for you, not just for today, but for years of adventure ahead.

There are a range of factors that affect the estimated costs which include (without limitation) grant availability; taxes; registration fees; energy prices; residual values; weather and road conditions; wheel and tyre type; accessories; driving habits; mileage; servicing & maintenance; and general regional cost variations.

*Fuel costs are based on a 100-mile distance and are indicative and based on an average current fuel price of 137.78p a litre and electricity costs of a fixed rate of 27.03p per kWh. This calculation has assumed 100% of home charging. These prices can fluctuate. This is a simplified calculation and may not reflect your actual fuel/energy costs, which vary depending on a number of factors, such as your driving style, tyre pressure, what you are carrying, heating & conditioning, the type of fuel you use and road conditions.
