England rugby player Henry Slade and two Wales rugby internationals, all well-versed in tough tackling on the pitch, are now able to tackle the toughest terrain off it after taking delivery of their new Jeep Wrangler SUVs.

Slade recently found himself in need of a new vehicle, as his existing contract was coming to an end. He scoured the market, but after discovering the all-new Jeep Wrangler, his mind was firmly made up: this was the car he wanted.

Karen Evenden, Group Brand Manager at Vospers responsible for the Jeep dealership (and an avid rugby and Henry fan herself) was delighted to assist the rugby star in securing an agreement between the family run dealership group and Jeep UK.

As Karen explained, 'To say Henry is delighted is an understatement. If you follow Henry on social media (Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook), he has posted several photos of him and his pet dog enjoying the incredible New Jeep Wrangler with the roof off in the recent spell of great weather'.

Peter Vosper himself - a long-time local and international rugby supporter - also congratulated the England and Exeter Chiefs Star on his new Jeep Wrangler.

Meanwhile, Cardiff Blues tighthead, Dillon Lewis and Worcester Warriors centre, Ashley Beck, also both chose the iconic SUV – the ultimate go-anywhere 4x4 – as their daily drives, independently of one and other.

Both bought their Wrangler from Nathaniel Cars, which has dealerships in Bridgend and Cardiff, and is one of the newest retailers in Jeep’s UK network.

Six-foot tighthead prop Lewis chose the aggressively styled 4dr Wrangler Night Eagle special edition finished in Granite Crystal.

Neath-born Beck meanwhile, opted for a model equally well suited to his 6’3” frame – a 2.0-litre Wrangler Sahara 4dr in Ocean Blue.

Wayne Griffiths, dealer principal of Nathaniel Cars Jeep, said: “We’re all huge supporters of local rugby at Nathaniel Cars and so being able to count two great players like Dillon and Ashley among our customers fills us with pride.

“They’re both big, athletic lads with a real physical presence so the Wrangler’s the perfect car for them. They’ve chosen well.”

Taking delivery of his new car, Dillon said: “The Jeep Wrangler’s such an iconic model and it really stands out, but it’s also got all the latest technology I was looking for. I’ve been like a kid at Christmas waiting for it to arrive at the dealership.”

Ashley added: “I absolutely love my new Wrangler – it’s perfect for all the country lanes around Worcestershire, but it’s definitely not just going to be something I use for my day-to-day driving. I can’t wait to get off road in it and to have some serious fun.”

The fourth generation of the iconic Jeep Wrangler is available now from Jeep dealers nationwide with the range priced from £40,525 OTR.
